i can recommend you Portersfield R4s, they are very clean compared to factory Jurid pads.
i have P-R4s on my car for 10 years, still using the same pads i bought in 2006.
Jurids are awesome but very dusty, you like cleaning your rims stick with factory pads!
if not go with P-R4s or Akebono EuroCeramics i heard good stuff about them

pads still have plenty of meat on them, i've used them for approx 40000-45000 km's in 10 years.
i only drive on the street/road NO track driving!
i use the Fred Flintstones method instead it's much cheaper, i cut a hole at the bottom braking with my feet
my discs are still the originals at 111000km's

Ordered the akebono, they will be here on Monday. Everyone seems to love them and without wanting to "promote" anyone, I picked them up from FCPeuro a sponsor here who gives a lifetime warranty. Granted it is my first purchase from them and I'm also a bit disappointed they didn't ship until the next day even though I purchased before 1pm and paying extra with the two day shipping its going to take three days because of Sunday, a lifetime guarantee is a lifetime guarantee.

I took a look at the order I'm glad to see it's hitting you today. I am sorry for the delay on that one. It's seems we had to bring the Sensors in locally as we were out.

ARRRGGGHHH!!!!!
The good: FCP delivered today! I got front and rear Akebonos, and they look REALLY NICE. Plus they come with lube and the rears even had sensors so I've got an extra set of sensors now.
The bad: The bad is really really bad....
So you can see above, the lube exploded in the box and got all over the pads. So two front pads were ruined. So another day with Black Beauty off the streets. I am fairly certain FCP will make this right, hopefully they'll overnight a replacement out in the morning when I call.
Anyway, here's some pics of everything I received:

Wowsers.
The bad was really bad and I sincerely apologize for that. No need to call, I'll get replacements out overnight. The details for the replacement order should be in your email and I'll have one of my colleagues in our service department email a prepaid shipping label in the morning for the damaged parts.

Brakes got here this morning! Nice that FCP made it right, I was a little worried but just for a second.
Rears had a bit of meat on them, hadn't hit the sensor yet.
Anyone paint their calipers?
I was thinking of doing a caliper swap but really not needed. I'm going to have my 18 monos powedered -not sure what color maybe black to match the car and was thinking of painting the calipers... maybe yellow, idk i really hate yellow but i think it's be ok because the monos will hide it. Ideas? dont want to powder the calipers, i think it is a waste of money.

mickey where's your undercoating?
suspension arms are a tad rusty, did you check the rest of your under carriage?
if you paint your rims black ,it won't look good!
black wheels on dark body paint, i dunno?
it will be way to discrete, silver paint on your rims is the best
painting calipers yellow, too many color combos will look a bit fruity like Lill' Richard!
silver paint is your best bud

Kow,
my suspension needs to be refreshed! lets see what happens this summer if time allows, i'd like to get under there and do a bit of sand blasting followed with a bit of undercoating. also change some pieces out. aside from that i still have the 5.4 engine in pieces... soooooo many things and no time lol. it might be time to turn her over to a shop
i have to really think about the colors, you know it is summer and always nice to do something fresh with the wheels, but my 18s are covered in chrome so i have to see what is underneath after i have them strip.

better take your time doing every project right, no good if you rush into things and screw up something.
plan ahead what you wanna do first, then do the other things.
cars rust badly on suspension parts and undercarriage if it's not coated properly.
issues with salt and grime will give you lots of headache when it's too late!
i believe painting your rims in silver instead of chrome will look much better.
chrome is way to pimp and flashy, silver is more toned down.
chrome wheels and your pimp grille that's a perfect match in heaven for those who wants more bling.

haha, yes the grille is sooo pimp! that is something i should take care of first, maybe have that re-chrome for summer.
I don't plan on doing the rims over in chrome, def powder.

OK so got to do the fronts in the morning. these were really worn!!!!
I think I have a hard-code on my ecu as the abs/esp light is still coming on (my brake lights work and my cruise control works too). I know if could be a wheel sensor, would rather just replace them than try to clean them up.
AND of course after the brake job....CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!! UGHHHH CODE P0308
I've got some plugs and coil packs from the e55 engine I pulled apart so might be a very simple fix for me. But I will do a hard reset on the ECU first, disconnect the battery and reprogram everything.

Daniel, that's exactly what I plan to do! Dennis is right though, it takes a lot of time and patience to do it the right way. Going to reset the ecu today.
