Bullrun C63
Team EVL C63 by CEC Miami (Bullrun ready)
Hello All,
Some of you have been following our progress in the build-up post here:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...cec-miami.html
I have started this new thread to show the project in it's completion. The car's specs are as follows:
2010 C63 AMG p31 pkg
-CEC Tuning aerodynamics pkg
-full black out of all chrome w/ custom logos
-Smoked corner markers and taillights
-Painted engine cover
-CEC Tuning 580hp powerkit (consists of ECU, manifolds, cat delete, air filters, and full exhaust)
-BREMBO brake kit front and rear
-Bilstein PSS10 suspension
-CEC c881 forged wheels (19x8.5 front 19x10 rear)
-Michelin PS cup tires (235/35/19 and 265/30/19)
-Escort Passport 9500ci w/ jammers (fully integrated)
-ATL additional fuel tank with pump
-CEC custom smoke screen
-Full custom interior with alcantara headliner (blk leather, blk alcantara, w/ red stitching..EVL crest on headrest)
-scanner and private radio with extended reach (custom installed to keep them out of sight)
-Fully customized NX direct port nitrous system with supplemental fuel system and composite bottle (100hp shot)
This 2010 C63 first saw action in last year's 2010 Bullrun Rally. We were so happy with the performance, comfort, and usefulness of this great car, that we decided to use it on the 2011 Bullrun Rally....but not before we made some additional changes.
Bullrun has officially announced the dates and start/end point of the 2011 Bullrun Rally. For those of you that are not familiar with Bullrun, here is a video with footage of past years, and more info...

Make sure to follow Team EVL in our 680hp C63 built by CEC Miami. Coverage for this year's rally can be seen on cecwheels.com, evltuning.com, and bullrun.com.
Here are the shots of the completed project.

Figuring being the operative word. And what, stopping every few hours to fill up bottle ? Finding a place that will even fill the bottle along the way from LV to Miami? Another perfect example of how nitrous makes no sense whatsoever especially for this type of application. I can see it being beneficial at the drags but that's about it and even there it's still pretty weak.

I think you missed the point in the whole design...all in good fun. Kind of like why most of of us do mods, go to the strip, bullrun, etc...remember that feeling?

Nice!! Love how you lowered your car!! Does Bilstein make for C63? I have KW Clubsport but I cant lower my car like that. Would love to lower my car like yours.

Thanks for the questions and positive responses.
In regards to the TCU, it was not necessary to reprogram while using the 580hp kit. We used this vehicle on the 2010 Bullrun with factory TCU, and the 580hp kit. It performed beautifully! This was the reason we decided to use the vehicle again for Bullrun 2011.
For instant power, we added a Nitrous kit (100hp progressive shot). For those that are not familiar with nitrous, it is a power adder. Simply put, it only works when you want it too. After the experience we gained from Bullrun 2010, we believe that this upgrade will score us a couple extra points at the track events (most notably the drag strip events). We have two extra 12lb bottles that we will bring in the support truck for hours of nitrous fun! We upgraded the suspension to the PSS10 (custom spec by Bilstein for CEC), will be available soon for sale by Bilstein. (tks for noticing the EVLness, HIRO63). We also added a BREMBO BBK (factory p31 brakes were toast after mountain runs).
Nothing has been left to chance here guys. This vehicle has been engineered and tested specifically to preform on the Bullrun Rally by the technicians at CEC Miami. Don't let the pretty interior fool you; This car is all business!! We had 3400 miles of full throttle testing on Bullrun Rally 2010. This vehicle survived 117 degree temperatures in the desert, elevation changes in the mountains of CO, extended periods of 130+ mph speeds, and no holds barred track events in between. We evaluated, and made the changes we believe necessary to give us the edge on the 2011 Bullrun Rally.
We are ahead of the game this year. The techs at CEC Miami will be tuning and tweaking for the next 5 months in anticipation for the start of Bullrun Rally 2011 on July 8th. We will start wrapping the car and adding graphics in June.
Again, thanks for all the support, and be sure to follow Team EVL on the 2011 Bullrun Rally.

Bullrun C63
AMG vs BREMBO
We did encounter some brake fade when pushing them towards the end of the rally (Utah,Colorado,Arizona). To give you some perspective, on return from the rally, the brake pads were worn down to an eighth of an inch, and the rotors were completely scored. All this in 3400 miles and three track events.
We have had very good experiences with the BREMBO product on numerous cars. We consider them the standard in brake upgrades. In the quest to improve every facet of the car for 2011 Bullrun Rally, this was an upgrade that could not be overlooked.
Bullrun puts an unbelievable amount of stress on these cars. It's difficult to find a car that is up for the challenge like the C63. The more you push, the more it gives.....and we push hard!

Frankly, the p31 pkg AMG brakes were very good on the 2010 Bullrun Rally.

Aren't the p31 brakes BREMBO's anyway with AMG on the calipers?

Interesting project and good luck with the run.
Only thing I'm surprised at is the 265 rears, with that much power I'd have thought a 255 front and 285 rear setup would've been advisable (though I'm not familiar if the C63 has fender issues with that size or not.)
