Found the way to bypass 4000 rpm limiter
I did it before and never paid much attention but I have done it again and it seems to work. You probably noticed that in Park or Neutral the car only revs to about 4000 rpms but if you are rolling like at 25-30 mph and put it on neutral and rev it you could see 5500 rpms or higher.
If you don't believe it you can try it yourself. I have been able to duplicate the reving before and ater the tune.
On another note, how many times you wished that you could rev up your engine to red line in front of a crowd or car meet? All I am saying is try it.

I once broke a valvetrain component on a 911(964) engine by reving to red line showing off. I can see damaging something at higher rpms(close to red line) but to me 4000 rpms or even 5500 rpms is still low. I still agree with you though..

I will do this time to time. Ill be driving at the speed limit throw it into neutral and kick the pedal down. The sound is wicked! I actually find it louder in C than in S+ which is funny. Nothing bad happens to the car (knock on wood), however I do notice If I do it quite a few times in a row (I did this when I was beside a 599 one time and wanted him to pull) The fan comes on. When I restart the car no fan noise.
I understand it can't be good for the car but like the OP said... try it! I guarantee it won't be your last time doing it.

cant see the point of doing that but to each is own! The sound is already good below 4000 rpm! I prefer to do WOT acceleration in a tunnel with all windows down... INTOXICATING!!

Driving along construction barriers is fun as well. And I also prefer the noises of downshifting (or the pops that happen from lifting) to no-load revs.
