My C63 surfboard...
Just kidding
Was up in Daytona Beach this past weekend and came across an area where you could drive on the beach. Couldn't resist the temptation to take the C63 out there to snap a few pics. All I had was my iPhone unfortunately. All in all it was pretty cool, but I wouldn't do it again.....SAND EVERYWHERE!! In the car, on the seats, in the engine bay, door jams, everywhere! And I was extra careful..lol

I know what you mean.. I was at Assateague Island camping (I could not get the prior day off when my wife and the neighbours family went up to the beach camp site so had to drive my baby up on the weekend... side note.. you can if you are careful fit 2 road bikes and associated gear in our vehicles.. we did around a 70 mile bike ride that weekend)..
I like to call this photo.. "One Horse.... Many Horses"
The beach is just on the other side of the plant line.. I parked my car on an RV campsite (yes I had to pay for a second site to park my car).. parked the neighbours truck on the sand at the campsite

It's a designated area that you're allowed to drive on there, specifically because the sand is packed down really hard, more or less like concrete. The designated driving area is also really far away from the water, as you can see. If it wasn't so windy that particular day I probably wouldn't have gotten so much sand everywhere, but I think the pictures were worth it.

Make sure you clean every inch... Remember that sand also has salt on it, and salt likes to eat cars. Any aluminum or metal that is not painted in you engine bay will now be discolored. Make sure you clean it good.
I don't take my C63 out on the sand.... that is what I have this for. hahaa

You guys are way too cautious! This isn't 1985...your cars not going to rust and fall apart from a few minutes on the sand. Heck, if you park your car within 1/4 mile of the beach on any windy day, you're exposed to just as much salt water moisture as I was by driving on it.
Besides, I used to live in the Northeast. If you're ever driven up there during the winter, your car will get exposed to more salt in 5 minutes of driving after a snowstorm then it's entire life in South Florida. And still...no modern car has ever rusted out on me.
