Our car is so much easier than that. For starters, we have a battery in the trunk in the spare tire well so tapping into power is a lot simpler. Also, we have a subwoofer in the package tray so you can use that as your source. The Harman Kardon amp is in by where our first aid kit is so you can get the line there. I am actually just about to do an install of this myself. I have all my gear in place, I just need to wire it up. I'll try to post up some pics.

This is what I am installing:
Infinity Reference 1600a Mono Sub Amp:

!0" Alpine R Series subwoofer wired to 2 Ohms:

Sub is mounted in a ProBox enclosure which is made of HDF and has a 1" thick front plate instead of the 1/2" thick MDF you see a lot of:

And I am using some AudioControl to deal with the signal coming from the speaker lines. It also makes it somewhat tweakable and provides signal on without having to wire to accessory power:

You can get a remote for the AudioControl but the amp comes with a bass boost dial you can install.
I'll post some pics when I get some time to drop it in. I have the sub in the enclosure, and I have the amp mounted in the spare tire well. I just have to string the wire.
