Seriously, no BS
I have searched here, looked, listened, and know what is "possible". I am just curious now for some real world usage/advice.
For us non-Black Series owners(DAD you and a couple other wide-bodies don't count), who is running 275 tires and what has your experience been? I'd like to hear from some of y'all(yeah I'm in TX) who have put some decent miles on their tires. How are the 275's with the stock set-up? And who have spacers and who do not? I still have my 10mm spacers from my '09, but am running 255's so I haven't needed them yet.
I want more meat!!! Do you guys like the 275's or are the issues of rubbing, etc. a factor? I'm in need of new rears and would like to make a change.

Ideally you would STFF (search) and noone else will respond so that this thread may die. 4 years of info on this question...
if you searched like you said you did and know that its possible, what else do you want to know?

I have multispoke 19's with 275 on rear, 245's on front. No rubbing, great traction. Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's. I highly recommend this size.

Cars settle, tires loose rubber, and ride changes over time. I was trying to get some info from folks who have now had 275's on for several hundred, if not a thousand miles. I was looking for some long-term input.
This site is for all of us to share our experience and passion for MB and particularly our beloved C63's. You didn't have to be an a$$! As a matter of fact, you didn't have to respond at all and let the thread "die", as you want it to. Well, you engaged and acted like a tool. And I thought we were all kindred friends here.
I know what info is out on people who are running them. Again, I wanted some long-term input.
Pardon me dik!!

I think you got the response you did because this question comes up at least a few times each month..

And so what??? I did research and gathered my own data. I thought that we were all "connected" in this forum for our, dare I say, fanaticism about the C63. Getting flamed for my quest for more info seems belittling. I just don't understand it. Holier than thou is unnecessary. Sorry that I wanted more info. Sorry that I am asking for more. It is just silly. I will just enjoy my car to myself. I am 38 years old and don't need "high school" cooler than you comments. I am trying to learn as much as I can.
Again, as I have stated, I know that there has been plenty of discussion about this issue. I know the other threads. I wanted to get a little deeper into the issue from some of you who have now put miles put on 275's. So I am annoying because I wanted more? I do not understand some of you. In this life in general, not just about our cars, I have often discussed many issues several times over with other people without a care for "how many times" an issue has been covered. I often have the same conversation with several people of the course of months or years.
Sorry! I will refrain from gleaming knowledge about something I care about. I guess that I will live and learn from trial by error. You guys are too cool for me. I was here for help. Thanks.

you really got real deep in a real issue...haha
answer is simple, 275s work no matter what the mileage, rub, settling, or whatever your looking for

Ok, I can give you some honest long term experience.
I switched in 2009 to Renntech 19" wheels with 245/285 Nittos.
I have burned through 4 sets of rears, I guess 2 1/2 sets of fronts, in 28k mi.
(Hey, there is no law about getting to the speed limit fast! Just keep the traction control on)
That is not counting the OE wheels.
I had no rubbing what so ever.
But now I just replaced the Nittos with 285 Michelin P2s, the fatter side wall is rubbing on inside of wheel wells only when coming off poorly paved bridge decks.

I never asked if "it would work". If you guys would pay attention, at all, I asked if you LIKED them.
All responded to me like idiots. I KNOW it will work. I asked who LIKED them.
Mod, feel free to erase/delete this thread. Nobody payed attention or responded directly to my question. I'm done.
You guys try reading before acting like a$$holes!!!!

I'm running 245/275 on stock wheels. no issues with stock suspension. put about 15,000 miles like this.
Lowered on H&R springs, zero issues. 15,000 on this set up.
the car does launch better, but the wider rubber does cause it to follow the ruts just a touch between San Antonio and Louisiana. Nothing to cause concern, but in the spirit of full disclosure. the extra rubber up front helps with the push, but then again so does the right pedal. braking also feels a touch more sure footed from higher speeds.
I have been running Sumitomo HTZR III and Falken fk425's with success. Even with the appropriate alignment it eats rear tires like potato chips.
just one persons experience.
