OEM 19" Multispoke or 2 piece Aftermarket?
what would you go with?
I am told the custon built aftermarket can be sucked further under the car allowing me to use bigger rubber, But ultimately what would you go with and why?
I do like the look of the Multispoke...
and the multispoke rims are about $1000 less than the aftermarket wheels.

my wife bananas! :D
so you are thinking of either the oem 19 or custom building aftermarket wheels that look like the oem 19s?
there are lots of existing aftermarket options that look similar to the oem 19s and out performs it... you should look at those

I like the look of the multispoke, if aftermarket I would go with a similar wheel maybe a few less spokes, but it is hard to argue with OEM, plus I think they would hold their value a little better.
I love the stone stock look of a car as well, wolf in sheeps clothing...
I just like the idea of being able to put bigger boot on the back.

I'd say go for the oem 19's now since u can get a hold of 1 now.. They r rare to find. U can sell ur OEM 18's later to buy the aftermarket wheel of ur choice.
Plus, u can use 275/30/19 on the oem 19's if u want more meat.

Roswell, I agree completely, I think it would work out okay, if I want int future I can sell my 18" and use my 19's for winter then get a set of aftermarkets for summer, I will have to see where I get to with the seller.
Thanks for all the feedback!

roswell is biased since he just got his oem 19s FLAT! FLAT FLAT!
i'll take these over the oem 19s anyday of the week.
if you want lots of spokes
if you want less

Also good to add to the discussion is that OEM wheels are cast and quality aftermarket are forged. So longevity of the wheel will depend on what type of roads you drive on.
There was a rash of OEM 19's cracking a while ago, but I haven't heard of any since, may have been bad batch.

go for aftermarket...u can get a better fitment (for OEM i believe you need to run spacer to sit nice) and put more rubber plus rocking OEM rims is not as cool as aftermarket hahaha j/k
but aftermarket wheels can be lighter too and probably stronger if they are forged.

Hey all, Just got a C63 Coupe. I am going to buy a set up 19" rims and want to use 255/40 front and 385/35 rear that I already own. The car is stock...will they work and look good? If they won't work, what is the best tire size so I can get more grip Thanks!

Regardless, 40 profile from and 35 rear is wrong for 19" wheels. Should be 35/30.

Depending on what wheels you're getting (OEM or aftermarket 19s?) the 235/35/19 might look a little stretched, but will be fine.

You can search if you want and come up with a bunch of common setups. Since this thread is pretty old I doubt the OP would mind a little thread jack.
So here's the deal, by the sound of it you want to run a little bit of meat in the back. I would recommend a 8.5'' width in the front and a 10'' in the back. Example, if you put a 275 wide tire on a 9.5'' wheel you might find the sidewall becomes mushy. At the same time, the most popular tire here is a michelin pilot supersport which would work well in a 265 on the rear.
Go look through the aftermarket wheel thread that is a sticky up top. Most people will at least post up the size of the wheel and others will do wheel and tire specs. Just seriously go through that thread, all of it. You might find an exact setup you want or at least learn the right specs of a wheel to suit your needs such as being flush with a fender.
