Weistec Oil/Air Separator Return Into Sump?
So I got my Weistec Oil/Air Separator today and am going to have it fitted next week.
I was thinking about running the oil back into the sump but not sure if it is a good idea or if it has been done before or if it can be done, maybe someone here has tried or thought about it previously.
Thoughts?

Lol. Its not about saving the oil. Its more the worry about having to empty the catch can and/or it overflowing.
Im not a mechanic hence the question. It was an idea and I thought it would be best to ask the more experienced.

It can be done with a different design which involves returning tubes n circulating coolant in the separator itself to keep the oil from become frozen when the car is used in extremely cold seasons. My 11 STI has got one like that, which is basically maintenance free (but takes longer to install).
Considering how little the oil is collected by the separator its probably not worth the extra hassle.

the point of it is to prevent oil from going into the intake system since it is applying vacuum to the crankcase since it makes so much pressure. If you returned it to the crankcase it would defeat the purpose.

I'll install it the way Weistec designed it and empty it regularly.
