FYI: Just passed CA smog with 2nd cat deletes
I know some people may already know, but I still see a lot of people asking & being unsure if you can pass CA's smog test with secondary cat deletes & I want to pass along the info for anybody here in CA. Just passed CA's non sniffer smog test with my tune, secondary cat deletes along with resonator deletes. Smog technician didn't even bother looking under the car, the visual test only consisted of him popping the hood & looking for an intake. That is all.

Groovy. Shipping my car to Cali next month. Hopefully all I have to worry about is paying the ridiculous registration fee.

Guys, the primary cats are still in place and the EC v5 tune does not disable the o2 sensors. There really should be no surprise here. I'd imagine you Cali owners should pass anywhere as long as the primaries are still in and its a stock or ec v5 file.
This would make waves if you did this catless on headers.

It was on the V5 map. Just wanted to make this thread for other members future references in case there's still anybody out there second guessing. That said, it is still a gamble whether you'll pass or fail the visual test. In my case, my technician didn't even look.
