I've had the motor in and out 3 times in the past two weeks. Unfortunately the forged short block I bought didn't run properly so I'm putting stock motor back in and finding it's limit

10.5 c/r
I am keeping my fingers crossed for both of us. If your engine holds up under this level of boost then so should mine. Thanks for taking the lead on pushing the envelope with this motor. Looks like your CR is the same as mine at 10.5:1 correct? Not the 9.0:1 of the W211 but of the W210 just to confirm? I chose to build my engine at 10.5:1 instead of 9.0:1 so I won't have to run too much boost and still get the power.

c/r
Did you find the 210 c/r higher or lower than advertised? It appears the PNs of the pistons of the 113.980 (210) are not the same as the 113.990 (211). However the heads are not the same as well. It is likely a case of piston/chamber combination, not just piston. The 113.988 which I have on the C55 (11:1 c/r advertised) shares the same head PNs as the 113.980 but has pistons unique to the 113.987~113.989.

Replaced a bent valve and put the stock bottom end motor back in with ported heads. Making more power than it ever has. Hopefully have it tuned Monday and 1/4 mile times soon thereafter. Running dual Bosch 044 fuel pumps now. Whoever said these motors are weak doesn't know what they are talking about. I expect 650+whp shortly (making 620+ running very lean right now). We will see if it holds
C/r is lower than advertised.

Thanks
Thanks! I definitely think it is doable. This is a junkyard block with over 100k miles on it too lol. If I take some weight out it would make it alot easier but lets see if I can do it full weight. Wish I had some good headers on the car.
Thanks
Thanks

Nice feat! You are one persistent enthusiast! You keep this board interesting.
I will just live vicariously through your car as I don't have the knowledge or skill to chase your accomplishments. It takes a lot more than just hardware and software to get to where you are at. It takes blood, sweat and tears.

Ahmad - Congrats on the times, and great job hanging in there despite all the unfortunate set backs. Look forward to catching up with you at the track one of these days. Who's doing your tuning now?? You're not back at the previous european tuner in the DC area are you??!

Decided to go to MIR today and play with the fuel pressure since I couldn't get a tune done to get the afr's where I want them. Full weight, drove 2 hour to and from the track. Just added ice and changed intake setup when I got there. Tires still rubbing real bad on the launch and I'm pretty confident I can cut another 0.1 seconds off the 60' which should translate to 0.2 on the big end. Here is the break down of the run and I believe some guys got it on video (Mustang rental) and should have it loaded by Sunday.
60' 1.555
330' 4.336
1/8 6.616
MPH 107.76
1000' 8.577
1/4 10.235
MPH 136.17
Huge improvements were seen on same day after I tweaked fuel pressure. My first run was 10.5@133 before I messed with fuel pressure. Then I ran 10.2@136 with Ahmad tuning Imagine what it would do with an optimized tune and no tire rubbing!
Car is over full weight boost only. STOCK bottom end with over 100k mile junkyard motor. I will be back at the track Monday to make some changes and hopefully be in the 9s
Thanks to Weistec for the SC and Eurocharged for the base file that I tweaked fuel pressure to work better. And MIR for the track prep

Car ran 10.09 @ 138 mph with race seat and no back seats. Couldn't get the car to hook this time. Then the engine let go and made the best window I've ever seen. You would think I was a software engineer! Lol. It happened at 100mph and oiled down the tires and took me for a ride. Luckily I was able to keep it out the wall. 06 E55 engine on the way and I will tear it down and put forged pistons, rod bolts, and arp heat studs in and try again

Ahmad - you are amazingly persistent! You go through engines like women swap shoes - UFB!! Quick question - have you thought of cryo-hardening your internals?? Did some reading on it, sounds interesting...

Wow fantastic time!! I haven't been on the boards lately and looks like you've made lots of progress. Congratulations! Just curious, since you're going to be swapping in an E55 motor into it, why don't you use some nitrous and go all out to see what's the best you can do with the old motor or are you spraying already?

haha damn I wasn't thinking you meant you blew the engine when you said the engine let go. Looking forward to seeing the E55 motor in it. If that thing runs reliably I would keep it forever

This thread is lacking pics lately so here are a few to spice things up lol.
Current headers (only 1.6" primaries and each pair merges into a single 1.6" pipe; downpipes only 2.35") LOTS to be gained here
Flanges made. Counter sunk to locate pipe easier
What the block will look like with Darton sleeves
Custom high compression pistons arrived yesterday. First pic was before they were sent out showing before/after coating\
And finally in my hand
