05 E320 CDI Battery - Visit Workshop
after changing the battery i keep getting this message after we start the car.
after swapping in the battery, i needed to reset the panoramic roof, and the windows, but everything works well. except for the stupid message. got any ideas how to read a code or reset this?
I had to change a battery on my Sl600 and that was fine, change battery everything worked fine. so i am at somewhat of a loss.
I often remove the negative lead from the SL's battery to erase the adaptive shift and conservative fuel map when going to the track. never an issue.
can anyone recommend a code reader?
Thanks for any and all help

update
no codes are being set by system.
everything by code reader is a go.
i'm not impressed with the diagnostic at this point, ha
anyone have any ideals. car still runs fine. just have to reset the message after start and then once i put in drive. other then that thousands of miles and everything is ok.

2002 E320 4matic & 2003 E320,
Hey SL600-pilot, I'm having the same trouble. I replaced the aux battery and the alarm is still present. How did you resolve this issue?
Thanks,
Jay

As a new forum member and proud owner of a previously enjoyed 2005 e320 I am curious if anyone has found a usable code reader. After being away for about 10 days I came home to 1 malfunction and the Battery sign visit workshop. I have always serviced my own cars but it certainly appears MB is way smarter than me. My code reader of couse shows no errors and the live data seems to function properly.

2002 E320 4matic & 2003 E320,
imkern,
It has been a while since i tackeled the issue. If you do a search, you will find the thread on my repair. I do know that the light eventually cleared. I guess due to repeated cycles within the correct parameters.
