LED front turn signal bulbs installed. Video.
This is a last lighting mod on my GL. As you guys know 2010+ GL's have all LED lighting except front turn signal and this bothers me. Don't know why, it just does . Anyway, my beast is getting new LED's for it's front turn signals. No more fading on/off. Now it's instant on, instant off as you can see in the video. Also they're a lot brighter than the stock halogen bulbs and cover the whole area uniformly. Looks a whole lot better....(to me anyway )
FYI, the LED bulbs are directly replacement and no resistors needed (to my pleasant surprise). No errors!!
Here it is....this is my first youtube upload and I was using the Blackberry torch so go easy on me.

2010 GL 350 Bluetec
Looks good. Frankly, I never noticed that the lighting package was missing the LED front turn signals. Now I guess I need to finish the job. Where did you get the replacement bulbs? If they are simply plug and play I might have to do this as well.

Sorry , original vid was taken down due to poor quality. Here's a new clip I just recorded today.
Also, check out the new carbon fiber hood.

Hi SixPak
Reviving an old thread, Im about to purchase a late UK 2011 GL550 (well its a GL500 here in the UK ) and I want to upgrade the turn signals and also the side / parking lights in the headlamp unit which is a yellow colour (isnt it), which bulbs off that site are the ones you used please? It seems they do an all white or a multi colour amber white, do I need 2 of each? The owners manual indicates that the corner light in that strip is just a W5W whereas the main light is a PY21W type which would be more like the ones on the web link?
Did you change the small side / parking lights which are also indicated as being W5W type so they match the bi xenon colour?
Any advice would be appreciated? Im coming from an ML63 AMG W166 which has lovely crisp white LED lights so the yellow halogen in these is a big step back, couldnt stretch to a GL63 just yet because the ML63 lost money in depreciation at a higher rate that it drank the fuel I put in it
Thanks
Carl
