Toys for Tots, Sunday Dec. 8th

This Sunday is our annual toy drive, 9 am on Dec. 8th.
Last year there was a great amount of support from AMG owners and other exotic car owners/shops.

Breakfast at Long Island Ferrari afterwards.

Please bring new unwrapped toys down and turn them over to the US Marines who will in attendance.

I think V12TTEnthusiast just got EC down pipes on his 65. Don't think anyone has done it on the 63 yet.

Toys for tots is a great program. I donate every year.

Thanks, I participate/promote/support many charity events & drives every year.

I found out that World Motorsports has just released dowpipes for the 13 SL63. http://www.world-motorsports.com/b/6064837011

The 13 Sl63 is 300 lbs lighter than the 12. @ 3990 lbs.
Down pipes.
Dyno Tune.
Minor intake mod.
Math looks pretty good for a daily driver.

2013 SL63 with performance package

Picked up some items, Mercedes SL cover, AMG Keyfob cover, MAcarbon stop/stop button.

Almost at 5,000 miles in under 11 weeks and for two weeks I was away in Asia. No problems, repairs or complaints so far.
Motor is feeling stronger the colder its gotten.
Friday, installing Pirelli's Sottozero Performance Winter Tires. We're in an area with infrequent snow but the continentals have no bite under 45 degrees.

Added my 5th qt of mobil #1 this morning. Very typical of AMG motors, my first BiTurbo car but my 4th "63 car".

Yes, Im glad you pointed that out, I looked at more items on the site and they are also marked for R230/R231 applications. I'm always looking at sites and parts so if I find something I'll post it.
MAcarbon will make one for you, ask for John.

I noticed Lorinser's body kit shows the led in the diffuser.

Thanks Tom, I think the lorinser one is a complete bumper replacement which I dont want to do... the market is just very dry (i get it though) for such items.

OP, I think you are trying too hard to convince yourself what you did looks good by constantly referring to the # of likes your picture gets on social media. Everyone has different opinions, all that matters is that you like it, who cares what other people think?

on a side note, I think it looks absolutely atrocious, you turned a classy sporty car into some train wreck....its like SL gone hooker mode.

Seriously? In the US? 5 quarts in under 5000 miles? Don't think that is typical for an AMG engine.
I recall having to add a lot of oil when driving in Germany at top speed for extended periods, but never in the US...

Cars in NY lead as hard a life as in Germany.
So many posts about this over the years, I'm actually surprised by your feedback.

Perhaps I keep coming back to try and tell you not many people are interested in your posts. It's hardly a simple post regarding your project,
I am surprised you haven't told us what colour your under garments are

SNOW TYRES on a SL63 !! the best place for an AMG car in the winter is in
the garage, that's where mine will be, and I can use my old Range Rover
to have some fun.

I have to admit that I have never much paid attention to the NA 63 engine as I prefer forced induction. That said I never experienced that kind of oil usage in the US, including the v12TT. Pushed hard, I had to add a quart every 5k miles or so.
Btw, am getting a similar tire setup as yours even though everyone is concerned about a staggered setup for snows. But I am tired of getting the rear rims beaten up with skinny 255 tires on it. Not car wash friendly...
