SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: R231 project.
Last year there was a great amount of support from AMG owners and other exotic car owners/shops.
Breakfast at Long Island Ferrari afterwards.
Please bring new unwrapped toys down and turn them over to the US Marines who will in attendance.

Toys for tots is a great program. I donate every year.
I found out that World Motorsports has just released dowpipes for the 13 SL63. http://www.world-motorsports.com/b/6064837011
The 13 Sl63 is 300 lbs lighter than the 12. @ 3990 lbs.
Down pipes.
Dyno Tune.
Minor intake mod.
Math looks pretty good for a daily driver.
Almost at 5,000 miles in under 11 weeks and for two weeks I was away in Asia. No problems, repairs or complaints so far.
Motor is feeling stronger the colder its gotten.
Friday, installing Pirelli's Sottozero Performance Winter Tires. We're in an area with infrequent snow but the continentals have no bite under 45 degrees.
Added my 5th qt of mobil #1 this morning. Very typical of AMG motors, my first BiTurbo car but my 4th "63 car".

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

on a side note, I think it looks absolutely atrocious, you turned a classy sporty car into some train wreck....its like SL gone hooker mode.

I recall having to add a lot of oil when driving in Germany at top speed for extended periods, but never in the US...

Btw, am getting a similar tire setup as yours even though everyone is concerned about a staggered setup for snows. But I am tired of getting the rear rims beaten up with skinny 255 tires on it. Not car wash friendly...
