If you want to own an insanely clean example of a classic Mercedes, you need to head over to Bring a Trailer, post haste. Someone in Vermont has managed to hang on to an incredible 230 sedan that is a real low-mileage survivor. This 1978 model has just under 73,000 miles on the clock, and it is 100-percent original, right down to the new-looking blue fake leather interior. The only thing on this car that didn’t come from the factory is a newer coat of paint (in the factory color) and cassette-ready stereo in the dash.

It even comes with all those classic goodies that are so hard to find, like the original owner’s manual, jack, spare tire, extra keys, and the all-important factory tool kit. And it has a custom car cover and two service manuals. The motor has been serviced recently and had the distributor cap and rotor replaced. Brakes were also serviced and the transmission pan was replaced with a new OEM unit to correct a small leak.

This is one seriously sorted machine, and I doubt you will find many nicer 230s around right now. The most insane part… the current bid to own this slab of history is just $3,450. But the auction ends in two days, so don’t dawdle.
