Brabus Introduces G550 Adventure

Brabus’ G550 Is a Custom 4×4² Mercedes Wagon That Puts out 542 Horsepower

Anytime the team at Brabus gets its hands on a vehicle, you can expect big things.

Take, for example, the Brabus G550 4×4² Adventure. It’s being pitched as an alternative to the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet, which is limited to only 99 units.

Showcased at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the heavily beefed up Brabus G-Wagon features all of the things you’d expect from the popular Mercedes SUV. But it’s packed with a few extra surprises. Like the wagon’s imposing stature, which comes courtesy of the high-rise portal axles pulled from the AMG 550 4×4².

Under the hood, the Brabus G550 features a 542-horsepower V8, which gives this custom G-Wagon a top speed of 130 mph and a 62-mph time of 6.7 seconds. That’s not exactly earth-shattering speed, but on a heavyweight beast like this, it makes for quite the impressive machine.

Of course, much of the unique beauty of a Brabus vehicle can usually be found inside. This G550 4×4² Mercedes wagon is no different. The SUV’s interior features a number of custom elements, including a mixture of Mastik leather and suede-like Alcantara fabric.

We haven’t gotten any word on pricing for this latest Brabus creation. But if it comes anywhere near the cost of that limited alternative, the Maybach G650 Landaulet, it certainly won’t be cheap. Rumor has it, that significantly-enhanced G-Wagon variant could cost more than $500,000 dollars.
