Europe has had access to the delightful A45 AMG A-Class hatchback for months now. In the states we get the very similar CLA 45 AMG. What we don’t get is the option of a hatchback. Typically speaking, the american market isn’t terribly fond of hatchback cars (we much prefer the crossovers), which is a shame, because the form factor makes a small car like the CLA a fast and reasonable choice.
Maybe that’s what Mercedes is trying to do with their CLA 45 AMG Shooting Break. You have the small footprint of a compact car, as much power as a Mustang, and enough space to carry objects that would over encumber a lesser car. Expect 0 – 60 times in the range of 5 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
