Fifth Gear Takes a G63 to the Track, Because Biturbo AMG!

How do you decide what toy to take to the track? Something lightweight, maybe some decent power, nimble, probably sports car-ish, no? Meh, that’s boring. Cliche, you might say. How about something that weighs 5,600 pounds and stands as tall as Portland Trail Blazers guard, Damian Lillard?

Not convinced that the G63 AMG is the way to go? Are you sure? It does have the proper power. Under the hood is a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that packs 571 horsepower, 560 lb-ft of torque and goes 0-62 in 5.4 seconds. Still raising your brow? Whatever, Fifth Gear doesn’t care, and as you can see in the video below, they take this beast to the track anyway.

Because it’s such an unwieldy and odd beast, Fifth Gear puts the G63 through three tests. Before going into the ring, they take it through off-roading and towing first. Naturally, the big Benz passes with flying colors.
