Tug of War: G-Wagen vs. Tractor
I’m not sure how this video hasn’t won “sketchiest tug of war ever,” but it really should. Here we have what appears to be just a normal day in some former Eastern Bloc country, where some of the locals decided to see which had more power, a G-Wagen or a tractor.
While we have tugs of war here in the States, this one seems too sketchy even for the rednecks of Florida. Conventionally, tugs of war include a chain, or at least a few ratchet straps to “safely” battle it out. This video, however, only uses what appears to be some sort of worn cable or rope. I half-expected the guy in the black tracksuit to get sliced in half when the cable inevitably broke.
Thankfully, that didn’t happen. What did happen was the Mercedes got its butt handed to it. A few of the commenters said they should have engaged the diff locks, but I sincerely doubt that would have made any difference to the competition. Maybe if they had the Brabus 6×6 the outcome would have been different, but I don’t think a normal G-Wagen could ever beat a tractor. Here’s my task for you: prove me wrong.
