L.A. Car Body Shop Solves Mysterious Rattling in Quavo‘s AMG G-Wagen
Located on the infamous Sunset Boulevard, RBD L.A. attracts a lot of high-profile rides, like this insane 4×4 Squared convertible.
Mercedes has never been known for making conventional vehicles. The German company seemingly always has something up their sleeve. The world was shocked by the release of the G-class 4×4 Squared. It was a vehicle unlike anything the company had previously built. Crazy off-road capability with huge wheels and tires and $200,000 price point made for a very niche vehicle. You might think that the crazy highlighter yellow color of this Mercedes is custom or a wrap, but its a standard color. That’s how wild this wagen is.
Vehicles like this definitely attract high-profile individuals and rapper Quavo is no exception. If you are from L.A., you probably have heard of or passed by RBD LA, located on world-famous Sunset Blvd. They are a customization, body work, paint, repair shop that will do just about anything to your car if you have the money. They are far from a cheap shop. Let’s see what they are up to today on their YouTube channel.
The video shows us Quavo’s 4×4 squared being dropped off to deal with a rattling issue at speed coming from the front left wheel. Speaking of which, this 4×4 is equipped with crazy custom Forgiato wheels color-matched to the wagen’s paint color. They are known to cost a couple thousand dollars each and surprisingly fit the wild aesthetic of the car quite well. The stock wheels that come with the 4×4 really don’t scream the look you would expect from such a crazy exterior, so we are fine with this wheel choice.
As it turns out, the rattling was due to a loose bolt free roaming inside of the wheel cap. A simple pop off, pop on, and return to sender took no time at all, and we’re sure Quavo is super happy it wasn’t something more serious.
Other crazy things are definitely happening at RBD LA, including the full painting of another 4×4 squared. However, this one is even more unlikely that the last. This 4×4 squared is a convertible? We aren’t really sure how or why, but you best believe that there is likely thousands upon thousands of dollars of work to do something like that properly. Not to mention, the full paint job that is currently going into this convertible, which obviously includes the jambs.
