Mansory Introduces 838 HP AMG G63-Based Gronos 2021 SUV

One of the most prolific car tuners in the world, Mansory now has a luxurious reproduction of the AMG G63, dubbed as ‘Gronos 2021.’

The Tri-Star brand’s electrification strategy is quickly taking shape. The company recently announced that it will be introducing four new electrified models in the U.S. market, which will include two electrified SUVs. Mercedes-Benz also announced that it will be introducing an electrified version of its G-Class nameplate, and with the growing popularity of SUVs and EVs; Merc’s decision can be best described as an astute strategic move.

This has not stopped tuning companies from developing high-performance versions of Mercedes SUV models for all the gearheads out there. Mansory is one of the most prolific car tuners in the world, and over the years, the company has produced many exciting reproductions of prominent nameplates, which include Porsche Cayenne, and Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The Brand, Germany-based outfit has now introduced a luxurious reproduction of Mercedes AMG G63, which the company has dubbed as “Gronos 2021.”

In true Mansory tradition, the company has re-tuned AMG G63’s 4-liter Biturbo V8 motor, and the powerplant now produces 838 HP of maximum power and around 738 lb-ft of peak torque. This is a substantial boost in performance considering that the overall power output of the stock engine was rated at 577 HP and 627 lb-ft.

According to Mansory, Gronos 2021 can accelerate to 62 MPH from a complete standstill in just 3.5 seconds. The German atelier has also modified the bodywork of the G63, and the car’s bodywork now sports a “British Racing Green” color scheme and gets an assortment of carbon fiber components. The car also gets a widebody kit and rides on giant 24-inch rims, which have been finished in a glossy black paint scheme.

The front end of Gronos 2021 features a new apron and a restyled hood, which is made out of forged carbon. The rear-end of the performance SUV also gets a new apron and a spoiler. A pair of LED bars sits atop the windshield, and the same LED treatment is used to replace the fog lamps.

The cabin of Mansory Gronos 2021 features plush Fawn leather, which is offset by carbon fiber and aluminum accents. The company has confirmed that it will only produce 10 examples of the Gronos 2021, and the prices of each model will start from around $666,200.
