Mercedes-AMG GT S Widebody Kit Offers Brutal Muscle Look
Menacing kit offers new hood with massive carbon air vents, a fixed wing, and a blacked-out roof.
It’s not like the incredible Mercedes-AMG GT S lacks presence. In fact, one could argue that the low slung, broad supercar is perfect as-is. We thought the same, at least until we laid eyes upon the PD700GTR widebody kit designed by the geniuses at Prior Design. Turns out, the GT S can use a bit of an attitude injection, and a set of broad shoulders only makes it more of a visual menace. But this particular kit doesn’t just begin and end with a set of widened fenders.
Just take a look at that new front bumper, which features bigger air intakes and a built-in splitter. It makes the Mercedes-AMG GT S look like it wants to eat whatever lies in its path. Whether that be small woodland creatures or just a Porsche 911. Huge side skirts lead you back to the rear bumper, which incorporates a fat diffuser and some trapezoid-shaped taillights. There’s also a new hood with massive carbon air vents, a fixed wing, and a blacked-out roof.
Goodbye Stock Mercedes-AMG GT S Suspension
Those pieces alone would suffice, but Prior didn’t stop there. A set of H&R lowering springs bring the car 40mm lower to the ground, giving it a rather menacing stance. That look is only enhanced with a new set of staggered 20/21-inch three-piece forged alloy wheels that are quite attractive on their own accord. Toss on a new exhaust with cutouts, and you’ve got one of the more intimidating cars on the road today.
Customers that want to upgrade the interior of their widebodied Mercedes-AMG GT S are in luck. too. Prior offers a total Alcantara package with contrasted stitching that simply looks (and feels) killer. Of course, you’ll also get loads of carbon fiber trim and a handful of logos to remind you that you’re driving something truly special.
The end result is easily the coolest looking Mercedes-AMG GT S we’ve seen from any tuner, period. Even if it does beat you up and take your lunch money.
