Mercedes-Benz Already has Over 30,000 Orders for New S-class

The Mercedes-Benz S-class launched three months ago and has already has more than 30,000 orders placed. Last year, MB sold a total of 65,000 of it’s top-of-the-food-chain sedan all year! That means that Benz is on pace to double sales of this high margin model! It isn’t too surprising that sales have jumped as this year’s S-class is completely redesigned, not just facelifted. What is unexpected is that the bump in sales is so significant.

According to Ola Kaellenius, MB head of sales and marketing, “The new S-Class has already jumped back into the lead in terms of new vehicle registrations in Germany and its neighboring European countries.” We know that the European recession is turning around but one can’t help but be impressed with these numbers for a car beginning at 72,000 Euros ($92,900 in the US).
