Mercedes-Benz to Display 11 Wonders at Techno-Classica

If you’re looking for the best place to spend days reveling in the beauty of vintage automobiles, then the Techno Classica show is for you.

The Techno Classica in Essen, Germany, held every April, is a mesmerizing display of classic automobiles. And the vast array of Mercedes-Benz vehicles tend to be among the biggest attractions. Of course, this year’s event, happening April 5th to 9th, will be no exception.

For 2017, the Mercedes-Benz exhibit in Essen will include 11 classic models, dating from the birth of the brand to the more contemporary, future classics.

The theme for the Mercedes exhibit is “Sportiness is in our genes.” So, as you’ve probably guessed, there’ll be no shortage of drool-worthy rides at this exhibit.

We’ve included a gallery below just in case you who won’t be able to make it to Germany. Or maybe you’re just one of the lucky ones looking for a little preview before heading to the event. Either way, there’s guaranteed to be at least one car on the list that’ll have you clamoring to add a Mercedes to your dream collection.

Some of our top favorites include the factory-restored 300 SL Roadster from 1960, a 300 SEL sold in ’68, and the Mercedes-Benz 540 K Streamliner from the 1930s.

Granted, some of the more newly minted Mercedes fans at Essen will probably be drawn to the SLS AMG Coupe Black Series. It pays homage to Mercedes’ sport heritage in a more menacing way than most of the other classics. Furthermore, there will also be a 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster (not featured in the gallery below) exhibited at the event.
