Mercedes-Benz Releases Exciting Video of X-Class Pickup in Action

By -

Mercedes showcases the impressive versatility and strength of the X-Class midsize pickup and its turbo V6 and amazing terrain modes.

Watching the new video for the new X-Class pickup we can’t help but whine, “Why isn’t this available in the U.S. yet?” The 2018 X 350 d 4MATIC is the very definition of luxury and performance. The X-Class truck boasts a very hot V6 turbo with very impressive torque. The video shows how this great looking truck can go from city to country roads with ease, and is a solid performer off-road.

The video starts off with a guy loading up his truck. The details are the real deal, with a cleverly designed tonneau cover for the truck bed, and sharp latches, handles, and of course, Benz badging. The truck then takes off and the video highlights how well this truck can handle any terrain, from city streets, to gravel roads, hills, mud, and more.

The video shows the driver utilizing the drive program selector to accommodate the differing terrains. The X-Class has five programs: Comfort, ECO, Sport, Manual, and Off-road. Speaking of which, the video shows the truck getting good and dirty off-road, and it is hard to believe a Benz can be so rugged and rough, but it demonstrates that is is a fully capable and aggressive off-roading rig.

At the end of the video, the driver sets up camp next to his truck atop a mountain. It’s all very dreamy and awesome…and mean! Why keep teasing this six-cylinder X-Class if we can’t get it in America yet? Okay, we’re guessing that eventually it will come to America, but the automaker likely wants to see how it performs in other markets first before it even considers taking on the Ford F-150-dominated American market.

Either way, the 2018 X 350 d 4MATIC is a beautiful ride with impressive versatility. We think this sexy, sporty Mercedes-Benz X-Class is a welcome and unique addition to the midsize pickup market.
