Already in fantastic condition, a few custom touches really take this Mercedes W123 280CE to the next level.

Older Mercedes vehicles have long held a reputation of being built like tanks, providing an unbeatable mixture of quality and luxury. Many vintage M-B models are also popular with tuners, but it isn’t every day we come across a modified Mercedes W123 like this gorgeous 280CE restomod up for grabs on eBay, which has been blessed with a Zender body kit and AMG visual upgrades that give it a truly unbeatable appearance.

Finished in a bright yellow hue on the outside and the aforementioned body kit, this Mercedes W123 280CE has also been fitted with AMG graphics and Aero I monoblock wheels, which are tucked up neatly in flared fender wells thanks to a set of H&R lowering springs and upgraded shocks. With just over 78k on the clock, the car remains in fantastic condition, inside and out.

The interior is finished in a nicely contrasting black leather and certainly looks as good as new. There are a couple of upgrades present here as well, including Zebrano wood trim and an AMG steering wheel, new carpet, and a newer stereo system, though the original head unit is also being included with the sale.

This beauty is powered by the original 2.8-liter inline-six, which was rated to produce 182 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. That won’t exactly light your hair on fire, as 0-60 takes nearly 10 seconds, but who cares when you look and feel this good? The car is certainly mechanically ready to go as well, thanks to a host of new parts including brake hoses, discs and pads, fuel pump and filter, and a full array of maintenance.

This big, yellow, classic coupe certainly caught our attention, and it also makes one wonder why this generation isn’t more popular among enthusiasts. With just a few upgrades, these cars can be made into incredibly cool and comfy cruisers, and they’re extremely reliable to boot. Throw in the fact that they aren’t terribly expensive (this one’s selling for just over $35k USD), and that sure sounds like a great combination to us.
