Modded Mercedes-AMG E63 S Smokes the Crowd at Bimmerfest 2019
Deep in the heart of Bavarian territory, Renntech-injected AMG E63 S R800 leaves it all on the BMWs in one big burnout.
When one thinks of AMG, they usually imagine a big Teutonic monster dominating the Autobahn on its way to tear off a lap or two at the Nurburgring. They may also envision a vehicle with the finest luxury and tech around, wrapped in a package filled with tons of power, all the while not looking as wild and crazy as, say, a Lamborghini.
What they likely don’t picture is a Mercedes-AMG doing sick burnouts. After all, that’s the province of American muscle cars and Japanese drift machines, right? And yet, that is exactly what you’ll find here today, captured by the lens of Dutch YouTuber Gumbal.
“This time I have filmed a brand new Mercedes-AMG E63 S (W213) Sedan installed with Akrapovic Evolution exhaust, ceramic coated downpipes, 200-cell sports cats and RENNtech ECU remap,” wrote Gumbal in the video’s description. “It is called the R800. It participated with the Burnout Madness Competition during Bimmerworld 2019. Just listen to this real beast with 810HP!”
The white E63 S definitely stands out from the Bavarians gathered at the big BMW shindig in Den Bosch, Netherlands, and not just because it’s a big, white behemoth. Nonetheless, it’s ready to show up those Bimmers where it counts: on a concrete block covered in black rubber.
The E63 S pulls up onto the slab in the middle of the crowd gathered outside Brabanthallen ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where its front wheels are chocked, and its rear wheels are watered like flowers just coming up from the dark soil. All that’s needed now is to let loose.
After a false start, the E63 S puts all of its 810 horses down on the slab, delivering so much smoke it envelopes the entire car within seconds of the burnout’s start.
Fifteen seconds later, it’s all over but the drifting clouds of burnt rubber escaping into the sky. The damage done, on the other hand, is magnificent. Black rubber coated the lower rear wheel well, and bits of tread dangled from underneath. Not a bad day’s work for this AMG, especially when it got to show up all of the BMWs in attendance.
