Ah… The taste of victory.

Nico Rosberg finally knows how sweet it is to win a Formula One Grand Prix after coming in first at the Chinese Grand Prix last Sunday. It was historic for both the driver and Mercedes AMG Petronas GP, as the win marked the first victory in 57 years for an F1 car that rode purely under the banner of the Silver Arrow.

Rosberg cruised to victory, ending up with a 20.6-second lead on the
next guys, who happened to be driving Mercedes-powered cars.
McLaren-Mercedes teammates Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton finished
second and third respectively to join the German race winner on the
podium. Incidentally, it was also Rosberg’s first time to start in P1 on
the grid.

“It makes me very proud that we have improved the car so quickly,”
Rosberg exclaimed. “I will never forget this race, and the last 20 laps
felt as long as if I was racing in the Le Mans 24 Hours!” Mercedes AMG
Petronas GP teammate Michael Schumacher, unfortunately had to retire
after a tyre mishap after his first pit, joined in on the celebration.
Still, with the win, Mercedes vaulted over to fifth place in the
Constructors standings, overtaking Lotus-Renault.
