Spy Shots: 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG “Final Edition”

When the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG rides out of the market and into the sunset next year (we predict with a plume of tire smoke and a touch of opposite lock) many a petroleum-laced tear will be shed, but before we start crying like a just-booted contestant from Dancing With the Stars, let us look at what Mercedes-Benz has planned for the SLS AMG’s journey to the automotive afterlife.

According to Auto Motor und Sport this “Final Edition” is planned to debut this month at the L.A. Auto Show. Sales are expected to begin next summer. It’s yet to be discovered whether this special edition will have extra power under the hood, but looking at the spy photos, we can see dilated intakes that indicate more power is on the way to L.A.

We’ll have to wait almost a decade for the next gullwing Benz supercar, but if it ends up being as good as the SLS AMG, it will be worth the wait … at least that’s what we tell ourselves to prevent a flood of volatile petroleum-infused tears.
