Subtle Changes Make Big Difference for This Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Sometimes, all it takes to take a good car and make it a great one is just a few tiny adjustments. Kobzarhomes just picked up a 2011 E550, and the first thing he did was make a few tiny changes. He altered the steering wheel, pedals, lock pins, and door switches. And the result is a car that looks like a much more modern and luxurious machine.

Nobody will call the E550 an econocar, but the solid black steering wheel of the 2011 just looks boring, cheap, and bland compared to the leather and metal version from 2015. The same thing goes for the other alterations. The aluminum AMG pedals look sporty and luxurious, and the silver seat controls look much nicer than the black plastic ones. My favorite change, though, is the metal door lock pins. I can’t even begin to fathom why Mercedes-Benz uses those awful cheap plastic door lock pins on all their cars. They look terrible, feel terrible, and they have no place in a luxury automobile. These slightly domed metal pins look amazing, though, and I hope that Mercedes sees this photo and makes that a factory change.

So keep that in mind, friends. If there is one or two things that you wish your car had, just a few minor touches that would dramatically make it all better, just go ahead and make those changes. The results may amaze you.
