Second, easy on the Ralph's p. lot. That was my suggestion as a good turnaround spot where people could catch up before going on to dinner. My suggestion for dinner at a beachfront with patio and sand and beach chairs, free w/validation up front close parking, reasonably priced, huge varied menu restaurant was voted down. If you and everyone else had voted for the restaurant I suggested instead of thinking it was possible to cruise for a billion miles and back before dinner, perhaps you would have ended up stranded by Lexani at a nice beachfront restaurant, like instead of a Ralph's p.lot.

When we do our next S.D. meet next year, we will make it earlier; and maybe if it's REALLY early (7AM-8AM), we can do it at Moonlight Beach, take over the ENTIRE parking lot, have BBQ's on the beach, and call it an all-day MB/AMG Beach Party !!!
Once again, official meet time is 2PM, but if you want to show up early 12-1PM, that's cool too ! Just stick around until everyone shows up, so we can take a group photo !!!

It is called Bordeaux Red even though it is really burgandy. It's a stunning color up close and personal though not quite as stunning as the Orion Blue on the SLK.

Add Wolf to the list. He will be there for sure. I will likly not. As far as a car goes it's 2 votes for the E55T to zero for the SLK. Also, given the choice between seeing a smart car and a CKL I vote for the Smart car!

not that the CLK55 isn't a GREAT car.... it's just how many SMART's have you seen at an MB meet ?
If anyone else has a CLK55 that they can bring, then it won't be so bad.
It would be nice to get a full representation of the entire MB / AMG line-up.
That's my all-time goal, and every meet gets a little closer. The Rose Bowl meet in February was pretty good ! Trying to make it better each time !

Not sure about Caravans from L.A., but anyone willing to step up and get one going is more than welcome ! Mr. Wolf is coming from Santa Clarita, so there's at least one other person to tag with.
I do know there are some (PerzBenz, ChrisDPham and his W124 possy) coming down from O.C. As well as RedMongoose, Dan ****, and Jay55. So maybe a caravan from L.A. can hook up with an O.C. caravan at a set time & place, and all cruise down to Encinitas together. I think someone was trying to come up with some cruising stickers (cling-ons) to put on the side of the door.
Let's get this hyped, BenzoBoi and make it an all-out MB/AMG fest !

Photo-shoot will try to capture diversity and uniqueness of MB's/AMG's.
