lots of cars
Where did you buy those wheels? If I cannot find the O.Z racing wheels I'd settle for a set like you have.
I'm what you call a wheel *****, they are for sale btw.

You can find JDM Tom's Racing (o.z. Racing) wheels, or like mine, which are Racing Hart Superlative D/Spec. Most wheels for sale are 15" or 16". Mine are rare for being 17x8 et35. You would have to add spacers to simulate the DTM offset. If you look at the rear wheels on the sonax car they are similar to mine.

Finding center lock O.Z wheels is going to be impossible. The street O.Z wheels have lug holes which take away from the DTM look.

The Evo II on ebay is actually in Swansea, UK. The Mercedes dealer in Stuttgart has an Evo I for sale for 40k euro.

You could try Compomotive for wheels similar to the DTM ones, check out the TH1780's http://www.comp.co.uk/wheels/wheels....orsport+Wheels

Where to start? The Italians or the Germans?
Well, another update gang! The car has been completely gone through by my performance shop. Changed out all suspension bearings and rubber pieces. Went through the engine and did the same. Basically changed all plastic and rubber pieces on the entire car. So i should be taking it down to High Plains Raceway to do a shakedown in a few weeks here. I'll try to get some more pictures up soon!

Well, the car is STILL in the shop >.< but they have made progress. Got the car running right (finally) after replacing every plastic/rubber piece that has anything to do with the engine, mounted racing seats (i do not remember the brand at the moment but I do know they are from a company in New Zealand), have fixed the suspension (again lots of the rubber was completely shot), have flushed all the fluids in the engine (apparently the previous owners believed you only had to change the oil once every decade as it was black and gritty when i drained it), removed the window tint and door panels, installed a custom harness bar for a 6-pt harness (we are going to install a full roll-cage this winter once we relocate the suspension mounting points to the DTM positions), installed a new aluminum radiator with an electric driven fan, they installed an Active Autowerke (yes BMW parts I know) 3 inch race exhaust (103db at full throttle), installed a custom shift knob (machined to be about 3 inches taller than the stock shift knob), and a few other bits and bobs. If they ever finish up I will be taking the car to High Plains Raceway (the friday after) and the next autocross event (Nov 14) as well as posting up pictures of all of this work.

Got an update again! The car is finally back from SCR Performance and is running almost perfectly (if I were to get rid of the sh!!!y fuel injection it would run perfectly), and is sitting in storage waiting for me to get the time to take it to the track and shake it down. I raced around our parking lot in front of my shop [and up and down the street ], and it drives like a dream. The H&R cup kit suspension is great for these cars (maybe not for a pure track car, but for a street/track on the weekend [or more often] car)! The Enkei wheels with the Bridgestone tires I bought are great as well. The car is an absolute blast to zip around in, and I am dying to take the car out to the track! Anyway I'll get back to you all if you have any questions and I'll have an update after the track test day.

Well a bit of an update. I removed the rest of the interior except for the dash and instrument cluster. I removed basically every wire in the car except for those which run the engine, lights and windows. I also ordered EvoII headers and an EvoII bodykit. Um maybe a few other things? Its been a long day and I don't remember it all.

Well I found the 2.5-26 engine I need as well as Brembo 4 pot brakes so I am in the process of removing the engine that is in the car as well as the wiring harness and the few remaining wires inside the car.

I'm really eager to see some pics of this in phases. I'm the type of guy who appreciates the build pictures as much (if not more) than the finished product pics.

I will do my best to get pix up this weekend. I need to take the car from the paint shop today, as soon as they get done soda blasting it, and drop it off to have the roll cage instal begin. They soda blasted the entire car (inside, outside, underneath). And my cage builder can pretty much replicate the dtm cars cage with a few minor modifications.

Still awaiting responses from OZ racing regarding the center hub wheels. As well as the final package cost from Team Stadler regarding engine electrics, suspension, control arms, subframe, carbon hood and trunk, as well as a few other goodies. Forgeline says they can build a custom center hub so I will be able to order a set of them as soon as the wheels get here. I am so dead set on the OZ racing wheels b/c they are 18x8.5 (I might be wrong on the width) and made of magnesium (very lightweight and strong yet very $$$). I'm sending pix from my phone to my email so I can post some up hopefully tomorrow if I'm not too busy.

Still waiting on Stadler's response. The car is now at the cage builder for the install. I have found an engine builder (ATEC) in Germany that for around 15000 Euro will supply me with the engines I need (375hp and 300ft.lbs/tq). They also have some interesting LSD and transmissions. I can give you all some information if your interested. I'll keep you posted!

Hello, how far have you got with your project car? Have you started it yet? I ask as I know of authentic 190 DTM cars for sale, in the US. Let me know if you are interested.
