Chevrolet Power LSX

long story short I bought a 6.0 out of a 2500 Silverado, then bought a 1985 190e roller the day after, car is super clean except the interior is roached. Once I got it back to shop I started cutting the car apart to jam the v8 in. 3 months of progress photos incoming.

Started out with a Muncie that we had sitting on the shelf. I thought a 4 speed would be fun till I realized the shifter came up about 10” to far forward. Glad I had it tho since it was great for mock up and making motor mounts. Also found out that the truck intake was about 6” to tall.

Bought a ls1 intake manifold and a T56 which cured my shifter location and hood clearance

The steering rack was a pain to get right but for now it will have to do. Will probably change this down the road but gotta keep moving. I found it easiest to get rid the stock column and make my own shaft and supports.

Dropped the old subframe out and had a scion FRS complete subframe that I made mounts from the chassis to bolt in. Lots of cutting and beer. Still need to mount shocks but it’s 90%

Rack angle

Hows the rack angle? I have a similar set up but had to pull it apart. Once i lowered the front the rack was hitting my a arm. If i moved rack higher it was hitting my ls oil pan. In process of switching to c5 suspension because of this. And running rear sump. Some pics of rack angle would be nice to see and compare.

It’s got a little angle and pretty close to the lower arm. I’ll take pictures next time it’s on a hoist

Headers

Whats the plan for exhaust, Im planning on mine, but mot much room to run big pipes down the car. Really not many header choices either, thinking of custom welded header?

Fitted a w126 speedo into the w201 cluster. Speedo and rpm work perfect.
