I guess I'm not sure why you'd want to put an Audi engine and a BMW gear box in an MB? Tring to get the electronics from 3 different auto brands to work together will be a monumental challenge to say the least.

Why not?the electronic is the easiest part!in 190e everything else is working anyway!the only electronic that need to modified is only the temperature, speed, rpm.
the ecu from Audi and the engine is very easy to work ..

Your MB doesn't have the electronics that you'll need to connect your newer non MB engine and gear shift to so I'm not convinced that it'll be as easy as you think it is. I read an article a few years ago where MB itself put one of it's more modern engines into a 190 and they had to convince the new engine that it was hooked up to a dino because the 190 didn't have the electronics needed to run the new engine.

Aren’t all Audi A4s front wheel drive or Quattro? I don’t see how it will work in the 190e, you would be changing its driving dynamics entirely and lose it’s original spirit.

i usually encourage swaps if you have the know-how I certainly would love to one day but I’d stick to a RWD and Inline 6 set up. Anything else you are going to cut into the firewall and have to customize your steering on top of custom mounts for such a different motor this almost 5 times the work of other swaps ppl have done

not sure what country you live in but I know Europe is far more hands on with this kind of stuff than in the US so we may be very biased

A4s are rear wheel drive. It's A3s that are front wheel drive. I otherwise agree with you. 190s don't have the electronics needed to run the modern engines.

Why do you **** on every swap thread? Just because YOU dont understand doesn't make it impossible or not worth it.

I wapped this exact engine into a older Porsche that didn't "have the electronics needed to run the modern engine". Once you understand inputs/outputs and what it needs, you'll understand the easy part of a swap is getting the engine to run correctly.

I'm being realistic. The cars posted about in this forum were never designed for some of the ridiculous "swaps" people come up with. Just because you might possiby be able to doesn't mean you should. I prefer to err on the side of common sense.
