11.850 @ 118.17 Bone Stock!!
Met the crew down at E-town today to make some quick runs. It was great to see the gang and meet Jody, even though I had to split by 11:15.
Made my first run and the car really exploded down the track. It felt like a perfect run. Still, I was pretty shocked to see what the slip said - 11.850 @ 118.17 mph with a 1.760 60' time. Ran once more about 45 minutes later and ran an 11.892 @ 117.72 mph with a 1.766 60' time. My car weighed 4322 after the first run, with a half tank of gas.
I am having trouble scanning the slips because the print is too light. I will play with my copier in the office on Monday and see how I can enhance the print. Then I will scan the slips for drag times. Here are the particulars on both runs:
60' 1.760 1.766
330' 4.986 5.005
1/8 7.645 7.670
mph 92.21 92.03
1000' 9.933 9.967
1/4 11.850 11.892
mph 118.17 117.72
Needless to say, I am quite pleased. I am particularly impressed with the gain in mph between the 1/8 and the 1/4 - almost 26 mph.

I was at E-town today with MIG-E55 Rocket, Sleeper X, and NYC-SRT8. I missed Enzom's record setting run for a stock E55 by one hour. I was watching a Ferrari Rally that was going from NYC to DC via NJ Turnpike. It was for Ferrari's 60th Anninversary. My buddy was driving his 360 Challenge Stradale. It was a fun day and I never thought I would ever see 3 Enzo's on the NJ Turnpike. I still wish I could have seen Enzom's 11:85 run, just amazing!!!!!

Hey John Ship the car to my house, I will sacrifice some garage space and take good care of it until you show up.

I don't think you have it all that bad out there, Jrocket.

None of the guys had arrived yet. I was one of the first cars on the track. There may be some video of my second run, but I am not sure.
I know I missed the documented record by "this" much. I still can't believe how fast this car moves. Even my Z06 friends (it was a Corvette Challenge Day) were shaking their heads in admirable disbelief at the slip.

Thanks. Ever since I changed my technique, I have been posting 1.7s pretty regularly it seems. I am running Michelin PS2's in the stock 265 size. I do a burnout in the waterbox before I run. People think it is strange, but it seems to work for me.

i'm positive it's the fact that you don't preload. my times in stock trim weren't as quick as yours but i still nailed consistent 1.7x 60ft times on street tires after perfecting the same technique.

WOW, great times
Forgive my lack of drag strip knowledge, but was ESP off for your runs?? Thanks.
I just roll hard into the throttle after letting go of the brake. No pre-loading of the gas. Simple.
