Preliminary pics of SL63 rear on SL65...
I picked up the car this afternoon and took some preliminary pics...raining all day long so the pics aren't that "clean"......Hope to get a photoshoot going sometime in the near future...
PS...Got the new rear spoiler shot in satin black, too.
Also got the new city lights installed...finally got rid of the yellow hue of the stock city lights...
Next up...
1. A front spoiler lip (in satin black) - working on fitment now
2. The triangle portion (base) of the side mirrors will be painted satin black.
3. CF trim plate for the HU

It looks as though it came that way from the factory and it really brings your car together. You have one insane SL!

The actual bumper swap was pretty standard per the techs at the shop. The attachment points were the same...

I was able to see the car yesterday at C2Design. Everything looks really good!
Its a very complete transformation. Alot of custom details all around the car. This new SL63 rear bumper makes the regular SL rear bumpers obsolete. Now everybodys got to get one..
You cant see it in the pictures, but all the satin / gloss black paint contrasts on the car, really stand out!!

i think it looks great! however i think you should've opted for the carbon diffuser so that the vents on the diffuser would be actual real vents and fake covered ones on the plastic version. i know they arent functional anyway but having real vents always looks better than the fake ones!
i hate the plastic diffuser on my sl63... going to change it soon tho!

Well... I don't really understand why everybody jumps on the "Wow"-bandwagon... The PDC sensors were dropped with the new bumper and the tips don't stand out as much as on an original SL 65. I got the new bumper on my ride (incl. PDC sensors and readjusted tips)... and all I got were several "looks nice"?!

PS...I think your car is just as clean and impressive. Larger and higher resolution pics might help with subsequent reactions...trust me they help a lot.

Yea... I painted the diffusor glossy black to make it look more integrated... And about the trunk spoiler: I don't like it... the standard trunk already has a slight lip molded into the metal, so I don't think that an extra lip will make a lot of an aerodynamic effect.
Thx anyway. My ego feels slightly better now...
