Valeo radiator on your car is mixing the trans fluid with coolant.
If I were you, I would stop driving the car, replace the radiator, replace the trans fluid, filter. Hope your trans is not toast.

Dude this happned to my E36 before. Exactly the same, even when you drive. Sadly, since it's a bimmer, and parts are so expensive, i traded it in before for an E46 instead of shelling out the money for repairs. Tha's just my story. But that can be repaired though, just not sure how expensive it will be.

I invariably feel relief when dropping the pan to discover nothing but a tiny bit of metallic fuzz on its magnet.
Have been compelled to replace several over the years, too.
A properly remanufactured transmission -with you volunteering R&R- will likely pencil out for keeping the car.
$2000-3000 doesn’t contribute much toward a newer (and better) car these days.

It was my own fault.. The fluid was very loww when i was racing the car and it shifted real hard from 3rd down to second.. I know its from that.. I removed all the fluid and put new fluid in the car. I don't understand i took my white rag and whipped the bottom of the tranny with it.. and the fluid was like a black / green.. The new color i put in is red..
I will take a picture with some old tranny oil in a pan to show you
If i have to sell the car soon i may end up doing that..

That does not look heathy!
What fluid was in the car???? It does not look as if it was ever red & it's not that bad. The genuine Benz fluid in our SA cars is a greeny colour but everyone on this forum says the fluids are red in the US - same as Dexron which is supposed to be red.
US Fuchs Titan 4134 is red.
Where does the fluid that is in the car come from??? Pre this service.
Are those flakes magnetic?? Look like Aluminium to me.

You know a young lad that I once knew hit a metal pipe on the highway and transmission oil started dripping out. The pipe flew off of a truck and went under his car and cracked his pan. By the time he could safely pull over all the fluid came out and toasted his transmission. If I recall correctly since it was an accident and the pipe came out of no where he just paid his 500 dollar deductible.

There is a tinge of red in that fluid.
I wonder where the aluminium is coming from? Must be the valve body???
