anybody recommand the autowerksdirect.com 's steering wheel?
it looks the same as the mp design, i am in the market for a new steering as well but wanna see wat other options i have, this one does look very nice

I have the MP Designs wheel on my CL55 .... It is the best wheel I have ever seen and felt for my size hands.
Highly recommended. And yes, this is the same Sterring wheel that Autowerkes and Performance Products sells.
My wheel is the same obvioulsy other than the center airbag/button section.

Here are some selections of steering wheels.
1st one is the MP design. It's available from Autowerks. The best one in my opinion since you get the most wood and the perforated leather. Good price.
2nd is the AMG F1 steering. It's nice, but there's no wood and it appears a little less thick than the Autowerks one. Not sure of the price, but I also haven't seen anyone with it except a guy from the messageboard Rennteam. This picture is of his steering wheel. Some places have said they can get this steering wheel, but I haven't seen that happen just yet.
3rd is the Kleemann. It has the same shape as the Autowerks one except that there is less wood. Not sure of the price, but I think it may be more than the Autowerks one.

autowerks wheel
the leather covered portion with the finger positions is really nice to play with, but for me the "wood" feels very much like an old"bakelite?" steering wheel, sort of like the old white plastic ones on the very older cars. It produces a strange contrast from the leather and I'm still getting used to it. I do like it more than stock and wonder what it will feel like in really cold weather.

Strictly personal opnion, but I think the MP Designs has it all over the Kleemann - love the extra wood on the wheel (feels much better than the stock leather covering). Also no advertising on the MP wheel (no offense to Kleemann - seriously considering some of their "go-fast" options) - just my two cents.
