GT/C192/R192: Why so many low mileage GT55s for sale.
Why so many low mileage GT55s for sale.
I’m seeing a larger amount of 55s for sale. Are there any issues with the car that people are unloading them. Most have like 1,000-3,000 miles.
Autotrader shows 376 55's total available in the US, new and used. Mostly new. They certainly aren't moving. If the quality mirrors the SL, which I see no reason it wouldn't, that might help explain.
Mainly software issues and battery drain and a bad launch, for example shipping 2024 model year vehicles in late 2022 or was it 2024 or something along those lines while the new model year was around the corner, then there is dealership ADM and too high of MSRP to begin with.
Battery drain is an issue for me, but it has been really cold in the Mid-Atlantic, so I haven't been able to drive it as much as I would like. Stand-by mode, turning off the smart key, and a battery tender seem to have fixed, but tough to accept having to do on an expensive vehicle. I can't wait for Spring and warmer weather!

I think it was this thread with the software that needs to be installed to fix the battery drain issue, after the update , a trickle charger isn't even needed anymore (from what I heard) especially if not storing for weeks: https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...-issue-11.html

Many thanks! Is there any way I would i\be able to tell if the software was current, other than take t to the dealer and have them check it?
I found these two documents, please kindly see attached, they don't actually apply to the C192 or R232 however the idea is similar, updating software, maybe your dealership will find the appropriate technical document.
