2025 AMG GT55 vs 2026 AMG GT55

I have been patiently waiting for the arrival of the CLE 63 for over a year now and am moving on to the AMG GT55 as a serious contender at this point. Local dealership has both the GT55 and GT63 that I drove recently. GT55 seems to be the sweet spot. I am trying to decide between a 2025 GT55 on the lot vs ordering a 2026 GT55 to get exactly what I want. The real question is, if ordering, I don't know how tariffs may impact pricing/availability and don't want to loose out on the on lot 2025 (not exactly how I would build it).

Also, I am trying to find information on changes for MY 2026.....does anyone have a list??

Would appreciate any thoughts on this topics please. Thanks in advance!!

Different car but this forum member has a good point on the tariffs situation. https://mbworld.org/forums/gle63s-gl...ml#post9157292

As for ordering 2026, it might not be available yet, forum member Eaton usually posts it when it is up.

I predict that the Tariffs will get negotiated away by the time you were to take delivery of your 2026. The UK signed a trade deal with the USA today, and I expect all of our major trading partners will make a deal with Trump. Germany, and particularly Mercedes, cannot afford to lose 75% of the USA market if their cars are slapped with a 25% Tariff. Germany now imports oil from Russia through India to get around the war sanctions. I predict Trump will make a deal with Germany to buy more Oil from the USA, as well as other stuff. In return, the Tariffs will be reduced to 10% or less. Stay tuned as they say........

Thank you both for the information and your opinions! I am hopeful that tariffs won't be problematic with new orders, but, as you say, stay tuned!! I'm tired of waiting on the CLE 63 and really prefer the look of the GT anyway.....so trying to decide!

You're welcome : ) The GT is heavy though it is a higher calibre car closer to higher E class level as well.
