GT/C192/R192: Option to disable the speaker generated engine sound in the AMG GT 55 ?
AMG GT: GT, GTS, GTC, GTR, GT-4 door (C192 / R192)2024 - present: The GT/GT S is the second generation GT sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG.
Option to disable the speaker generated engine sound in the AMG GT 55 ?
Is there a way to disable or at least reduce the augmented engin sound in the cabin speakers ?
When I test drove the AMG GT 55, it sounded a bit weird and artificial in Sport/Sport+. The AMG V8 has a great natural sound, is it possible to enjoy the real exhaust and turn off the artificial one from the speakers ?
Has anyone tried to reduce the AMG sound in the dealer mode, audio volume ?
for MBUX 2/3 , this seems to be the method to enter this mode : https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Tc-C65bPqnA
There is another video that shows the AMG sound volume can be changed in the audio volume menu.
I was able to access the dealer mode, and in that section it shows AMGRACEAPP, I tried toggling that off, as well as lowering all the AMGRACEAPP sliders to 0. it didnt seem to to anything.
So I either did something wrong, or this section is not how you turn that off.
I would love to know as well because I find it quite annoying and much too artificial sounding. would prefer the normal standard exhaust.

By "section" do you mean the Audio Volume menu (in dealer mode)?
AMGRACEAPP may be related to the AMG track app, not the AMG sound.
In the the other video I saw , it was under dealer mode -> Audio Volume -> "AMG volume " (or something like that, I don't remember the exact name)
There is no option other than AMGRACEAPP, unless it's one of these other menus.
I hit the assistance 10x times, it pulled up dealer menu (picture 1)
hit Audio volume, and it opens the next menu where it shows the comfortvolumeactivationstate (picture 2)
then then select one of those and it shows the last menu which lets you toggle all those on and off (picture 3)
the comfortvolume min and max if you press on them you can adjust the level and decibels which I tried.
It seemed to be the same no matter what. So i'm not sure if that menu is where the engine noise can be turned off or not, and if it is, I don't know where it is located, or what tab it is, because AMGRACEAPP is not it. at least if that is it, it didn't seem to do much when I played with it.

Thanks for trying.
And did you also go in damping ?
(with the older MBUX :
I did all of them, including setting damping as low as it would go. Didnt seem to make a difference. I did see this same video also, so I dont know, maybe im doing something wrong.

After main menu, selecting Audio , then damping it shows this menu with the sliders.
i did slide the amgraceapp thing all the way to the left and it didn’t seem to change anything.
but it’s very possible I didn’t save the setting or didn’t do something else right. So if someone able to figure out how to turn this **** off , I’ll send them a cookie.

Does it also sound artificial (sound generated through the speakers) when the exhaust is set in Quiet mode ?
And with the Individual settings, is it possible to replicate Sport+ but without the artificial sound / louder exhaust ?
To my knowledge it does it in all modes in the GT63. May be a touch quieter in comfort (not sure if thats the case).
But that was my hope also was that I could set it up in the individual setting, but you cant, at least not that i'm aware of. I know that can be done in some other amg cars, but doesn't look like the GT you have that option.
