Discount on new 2025 GT 63?

How much of a discount is reasonable for a new 2025 GT 63? 15% off MSRP? 20%?

I JUST PURCHSED A 2026 GT 55. I was offered 2025 models and they were giving between 18-20% discount overall. This was iat the end of March.

Dilemma. Keep my GT 55 order, which has precisely what I want, or get a 2025 63, which has nothing I want.

I was in same boat as you Frenetic. Found 63s discounted but never had FAL system that I need for my driveway and/or they had a moonroof (which I didn't want at all). Ended up ordering 55 with how I want it. Im on Arc Honor btw. Is yours produced?

I’m tempted but I want the high-end Burnester and carbon ceramics, which the 2025 63 doesn’t have, and it’s in a color I don’t like. But it’s tempting. The other knock is the dealer. They’re slimeballs. I placed my order with a dealer 60 miles away so I don’t have to deal with my local dealer. The fact that they have two 2025s still sitting on the lot says a lot about them.

Considering that a 2025 has depreciated by at least 20% now you’d need a much larger discount to really make it worth it. Especially if the options are nothing that you actually like.

That a dealership still has 2025s to sell doesn’t really say much about them. These are not hot sellers. You can even get a hefty discount on 2026. Especially the 63 is way overpriced.

I think many dealers suffer unsold current and last year GT 55 & 63s because of unimaginative ordering builds. Want a black on black or a white with black interior, you'll find your choice of vehicles online. I get the dealer mentality of not wanting to make outlandish color and option choices that might drive off the S class customer, but GT buyers want a little excitement and, just as important, a degree of individuality to their ride.

Not sure that's it. I know the GT is supposed to be the replacement of the S Class Coupe among other models, but coupes are a niche product. Not many people buy coupes. I only buy coupes, but most people these days buy SUVs and if not an SUV, then it's at least a sedan. You are correct in the sense that somebody who buys a coupe doesn't just buy a plain car because they need to drive from A to B. A coupe and especially an AMG is for those who buy an experience. Nothing wrong with a black car. I love black. My C63S Coupe is Obsidian Black, but I do have the Black/yellow interior. I am kinda disappointed with the bland interior choices these days. The current GT is nothing special unfortunately. It's the same formula as my C63, except AWD, more sophisticated suspension, a bit more power, but also about 400 lbs more weight. It's not unique/special like the previous generation GT, yet the pricing of the new GT is insane given that it's the same formula as every other V8 AMG.

The one I want is a custom build that was backed out from the buyer because it came with the wrong wheels: 20 inch versus the 21 inch that was ordered, or so says the dealer. I actually want the 20 inch as I intend to daily this and I want all seasons. My custom order is with 20”.
