Phone/Cradles for 07 ML350
Hi I am very new on this site so please be gentle. I traded my 99 ML320 for an 07 ML350. I was told my salesman that it came with Navi and phone capabilities. I finally had time today to read some of the manual and read where it discusses phone cradle. I swear when I test drove it I saw some wiring in the console and looked again and see nothing!! My question to you seasoned owners is " Do I have to buy a phone for my car I have a Samsung Impressions and read only certain phones are compatible. Do I also have to buy some cradle as well? Remember I am a newbie!

Take a look at the thread at http://mbca.cartama.net/showthread.php?t=33872 - particularly post #5. The last picture in that post is of the MHI contact plate, the device to which various cradles and Bluetooth pucks attach. Post #5 also discusses the cradle and puck options.
If your car has the MHI contact plate - probably somewhere in the center console - then all you need is a puck and a compatible phone.
Sometimes the contact plate is under a removable plastic cover having roughly the same shape as shown in the photo.
Alternatively, you could REALLY be in luck - you could already have a puck installed. Take a look at the third and fifth photos in post #8 in that thread. They show the blue/silver puck for my car; some of these are all-black. If you have one of these, all you need is the phone.
I don't track which cell phones are compatible and which are not. I have written up phones I own or have owned, that's it. So try the one you own. If it doesn't work out (the main problem would be that your phone book doesn't download; less often, that it won't pair or that voice transmission is unintelligible), check the compatibility lists on the AWS website; links are in the thread.

HTC Aria
I took the plunge and got a HTC Aria Droid. The Aria works great with the Bluetooth puck.
By using the original key, all functions work with the BT puck. 4. is an N/A point. I have also noticed the Aria works faster, and sounds better in my car as well than my previous phones.
KEY:
1. No PhoneBook Download
2. No Call List Download
3. No 3 way
4. No SMS Download
5. No DTMF Tones
6. No Signal Strength Indicator
7. No Speed Dial

Anyone using Galaxy/Vibrant? "Paired but..
Mine is Tmob version, cannot get it to work in my 07 211 E63. I have the Razr V3 cradle, which of course the phone won't fit into, but I thoght the connectivity would work.
I have "Phone is paired but not connected", a message I have never seen before....

Try a B6 787 5878 or B6 787 6131 puck. I suggest researching success with those pucks and your particular phone, or borrowing a friend's puck, before buying one. Bigben320e seems to have had success with a similar phone (but possibly from a different provider; if the service provider's firmware is different, one can have different results).

Thanks....
..for the reply...I'm sort of confused as to why it would pair, but not connect. I would think if they are totally incompatible that it wouldn 't pair either...oh well, headset I guess...

Welcome to the forum, drzml350; see https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...ml#post2788377 for what you need.
Because MBWorld limits the time we have to edit posts, you may find the pdf version at post #2, http://www.mbca.org/forum/how-guide-...tooth-and-plug easier to follow. It is more recently edited and less chopped up. If you cannot see the pdf attachment in that post, you will need to establish a "guest" account.

I did a thread search but couldnt find the answer;
Will the b67875877 device work with my iPhone 4 same as the b67876168? I had a nokia B67875846 in my armrest so I assume both just plug in?

Mercedes-Benz may tell you only part b67876168 will work and b67875877 is not compatible. Wrong (for me anyways)

Promised Viseeo MB-3 Review:
We finally got our initial Viseeo MB-3 bluetooth adapter from manufacturing today. We have put it through it's paces and these are the results of those tests. The MB-3 is an ALTERNATIVE to, not a replacement of, the MB-2. The MB-2 has been the best defacto standard for all late model Mercedes Benz models. It features software upgradability (which makes it obsolete proof), and is compatible with just about every phone on the market today. The MB-3 continues that tradition, but adds a couple more features. The phone functions seem to work about the same and the phone quality is also similar between the MB-2 and MB-3. The extra features are charging of an Apple product or of any USB chargeable device. It also has an FM transmitter to transmit music played through the USB, Bluetooth or AUX input. The FM transmitter is programmable and has three total presets that can be set to three different frequencies. The unit works as advertised and we offer our overall opinions below:
PRO:
1. MB-3 has the Parrot chipset, so compatibility and quality are good.
2. It can provide a charge point for Apple, Android, Blackberry and more, from your armrest.
CON:
1. If you use any of the supplied charge/music cables, you can not close your armrest fully and the cables need to extend outside the armrest as there is no room for both the MB-3 and any phone/player besides maybe an iPod Nano inside the armrest.
2. All music played through the device goes through the FM transmitter. Some people do not mind FM transmitters. In our tests the background hiss was always present on every frequency we tried. If you have already used FM transmitters in the past, and are happy with them, then this will work fine for you. If you are more critical of the sound, you will not be happy with the music sound quality.
MB-2 MSRP is $299
MB-3 MSRP is $459
The above prices are MSRP set by the manufacturer, Cartronics.com does not sell them for MSRP, usually a bit less. It should also be noted, that Cartronics.com is the exclusive North American supplier of the MB-2 and MB-3. The manufacturer has clamped down hard on warranty and serial number matching. If the serial number of any MB-2 or MB-3 does not match one imported by Cartronics.com, there is no warranty available on the unit. No matter what some dealers may advertise, they must purchase from Cartronics.com distribution network for a warranty to apply. If you are in doubt, please call Cartronics.com and find out if the retailer that you are purchasing from is an authorized dealer of Cartronics.com

I just upgraded from my old (original) Verizon Droid to a new Droid Incredible 2. The Inc2 works just fine with my BT puck, but I noticed that loading the phone book takes considerably longer. Is is possible that BT data transfer speeds vary from phone to phone?
Thanks, Paul

Yes, very possible. This is usually fixed in firmware updates to Droids specifically. The makers of Droids are very well known (Google it) for beta testing on clients in the "race" to get market share.
