'05 S500 phone system into '04 S500
Will the factory phone components from a 2005 S500 MOST system work properly in a 2004 S500 MOST system? I feel like I could handle the install myself. I just need to know if anyone else has done it. Kit comes with a Motorola V60/V600 cradle. Any info is appreciated.

I am beginning to understand. This is deeper and more complex than I thought...I have to get equipment that is 2004 S class specific.

I have a similar question but different enough that I believe it should be asked. I have a 99 SLK230 and I was wondering if there is a factory radio that supports bluetooth and I-pod that I could swap out for the current one? I really like the mercedes deck because it includes dialing with the cell phone interface and there is yet to be an aftermarket deck with bluetooth which I can't understand at all. It is my understanding, although this was told to me by a salesman, that the newer decks have bluetooth kits.

The deck has nothing to do with bluetooth. Your salesman is wrong. To get bluetooth, you will first need a v60 phone system installed in your car and then get a bluetooth puck and install it in the cradle. Or you can get the Argos bluetooth system. I am not sure if your car came with fiberoptics in 99. Can someone chime in?

Yeah she said that the bluetooth adapter wouldn't work with my year so I guess what that would mean is that I don't have the fiber optics connection? I would really like an opinion on this because I just found an aftermarket deck that has a keypad on it from Parrot which is a company that speciallizes in bluetooth car kits. I would rather have the factory Mercedes deck just for the untouched look though.

Just in case anyone wants to see the aftermarket deck here's the URL http://www.parrot.biz/usa/products/i...id=rhythmnblue Its the best bluetooth deck I've found so far Sony makes one that is hideous, it has a joystick on the left side for navigation. I like the fact that the Parrot has the keypad aswell, its a start for the industry I just can't believe its taking this long for aftermarket decks to get bluetooth.
