The later tuner is PAL/SECAM/NTSC, the older PAL & SECAM only. What TV system do you have there if its not one of those ??

You will need to get Andy to send you a cable and some extra pins so that you can connect the diagnostic interface to pin13 of the diagnostic connector on the car.
Once you have done that, I will let you know what to do.

Richard and Ted both referred me to Braybrook's, who installed the Alpine dvd changer to my MB tuner / COMAND. They disabled the interlocks using the old Star Diagnostics.
Neil told me at the time that I'd probably be the last one he could disable and he needed to come up with another solution. I guess he hasn't done so yet...
I guess somebody needs to get the old software and find a dealer/ tech who is preapred to re-install it to program a specific car.....
Is there any way we can purchase the hardware/ software for the STAR diagnostics, or is that too expensive an option?
I'm thinking about upgrading to a C32 AMG, but I'd want to disable the tv/dvd etc.
Also, are there plans for COMAND II to appear on the C Class??

As to the W211 - the technology is completely different, and I know nothing about it yet .. (until I buy a W211 and play with it, which will be a few years!)

I received 2 OBDII interface with 2 connectors. I you want, I can send you one of mine. We have some problems with linux and until now, I couldn´t disable interlocks yet.

Cone, did U get my email ? Id like you to get a basic SCAN of your car done before you send away either of the interfaces !! Then we know your interface works talking to the engine management system in your car, and we can then change the pin to talk to the COMAND unit and reprogram that

Hi, if the PDA has a real serial port, (and assuming you have a compiler for it), you should be able to do this. Do you mean the Sharp Zarus (sp?) - I keep on meaning to buy one of these and try - apparently there is a new one out
