I Want The Lexus RX350 Sound System
Alright so I have an 03 C230K Sedan. I have 2 Rockford Fosgate P3 12's in the trunk and I am tired of how it sounds. It rattles everything and sounds like really loud farting. My mom has an 07 Lexus RX350 and the sound system sounds amazing. It has the perfect amount of bass from the door speakers and it all comes together perfectly. So what I want to know is:![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
What speakers are in the Lexus?
How can I make my car sound like that?
And should I replace the stock 8" sub in the rear deck with another free-air sub to add more bass to the door speakers?
What do you recommend I do?
Thanks for any help you can give me!!!
BTW I have a Pioneer Avic-D3 Head Unit

What's your budget? What type of music?
Rockford Fosgate is the Saturn of car audio. If you want Mercedes quality, I suggest going with JL Audio equipment for subs, and Focals or Boston Accoustics for mids/tweets (though JL mids and tweets aren't bad).

Keep it simple. You basically get what you pay for imho when it comes to car audio.

How do you feel about the JL Audio VR650-CSi component system? But if I got those where would I mount the tweeters in the back and would it not sound good unless I had an amp to power them?

I didn't mean to say one was better than the other. The older Nak systems certainly did more with less and were much more advanced for their time. The M-L builds on what they started and can accomplish DSP quality imaging and frequency response without DSP, albeit that it might be made by Fujitsu these days. When I said "Lexus" in my post I was referring to the Nak series units (which I have also had in previous vehicles). I should have been more accurate in my post.

How big is your existing enclosure?? I am betting that its too small for the woofers and/or too big for the vehicle. Dont go free-air; keep only one of the fosgate 12's and put it in the correct sized enclosure for the driver. This is critical. One 12 should give you more than enough nice clean deep bass even if its a rockford fosgate. Get the bass right and then move on to the the mids/highs.

I am sure the enclosure is too small for the woofers and too big for the vehicle. I had 2 10's a while ago and I really liked how those sounded.
I was thinking of 2 10w3v3's. How can I figure out what the correct sized enclosure is for the driver?

remove the existing factory sub and use the opening to allow the bass to vent into the cabin.

Thanks for all your help.
Can I get the factory sub out by removing the little grille or will I need to remove the whole rear deck? I heard that is not a small task. Thanks Again
