Blackberry phone book with MB bluetooth puck

.........I know that the bb phone book will not download when using Argos. My question is, will the phone book from a black berry download when using Mb bluetooth puck? Thanks.

I have the Blackberry Curve with AT&T, 08 E350 with bluetooth puck. Address book downloads flawlessly! Also have "soft keys" available for received and dialed calls (downloads phone log). I only had one issue so far; the other day the address book would not download, but after re-setting the Curve (pull battery) there were no further issues. In my experience, the best bluetooth implementation I've used in a vehicle.

I have connectivity and the liguatronic system works fine (voice comand), but nothing I've tried will get the phone book in with my BB 8100. My previous version of the Razor had all functions syncing up (Verizon software/version), but I did not have 650+ contacts in it like the BB.

With my BB (8820) I created a catagory "Car" and just set it to download those - works great in my S. I can't get the BB phone to connect with my wife's '08 E350 - Razr's connect fine though.

Do you have a Euro COMAND or US COMAND?

Blackberry works perfectly.

I've been a blackberry user for years. Currently, I'm using a BB Bold 9700. I have the bluetooth puck.

Yes, I can see the phonebook contacts on the instrument cluster and scroll through them, and I can also see them on the COMAND unit, and scroll through them there.

It works good. It's a US Comand system on 07 CLS63.

OK. I have the BT puck too and a BB but I'm using a Euro COMAND! Just thought it might works now since the HU is updated. But you're using a US COMAND so of course it works with yours.

I have the V60 Cradle eliminator W/BT in my COMAND 2.0 system and the phone book from my 8900 curve downloads fine....at least the 1st 100 numbers until it runs out of memory. It syncs easily and I can set up "Favorites" with the MB voice command system.

And you have a US COMAND vs. a Euro COMAND?

I only put the puck in my 2007 E350 a few days ago, but when I did, I thought I got it to upload all my wife's contacts from her BB. I made a test call to her from my own BB, and the display said "Edward - Unknown" (whatever THAT's supposed to mean). Next day she said it works great but a call from her best friend (who is, of course in the BB address book) came in as "Unknown"

There you see how clever the car is, if someone calls from somebody else's phone, the car would not know who is calling and says "unknown".

Could this "unknown" tell that the car could not properly load the phone book info explaining if the number is a home/work/mobile/land-line number?

The other case sounds like the name was not loaded. The OP was talking about a car profile, I think BB allows the owner to select which phone book entries are downloaded to Comand. Did you check that the second number/name was on the list?
