Have your dealer install an iPod kit ... attach your iPhone to that

Have you checked out www.mobridge.us? Full integration with Bluetooth over MOST. Had mine since 2008 in my 2007 C350.

My MY '03 S430 didn't come with a phone. I have installed the Voice Control Module (VCM), AutoSense PSE, V60 cradle, and Bluetooth Puck. I took it to get programmed and the guy said he couldn't communicate with anything. Is this because I connected the 25 pin connector from the chassis directly to the PSE without daisy-chaining it to the 25 pin D connector --- that has the unused green connector? My radio and CD Changer both still work but the technician said he couldn't get the STAR to connect to the PSE or VCM. I don't want him dicking around at $100/hour trying to figure out what's wrong so I'd like to figure it out before I take it back in there. I've ordered the 25 pin D connector with the green cable connector to see if that fixes it but I'll still have to take it to him and pay him for an hour's work if it doesn't work. Does anyone have any pertinent ideas to fix this problem?

Also, should there be power to the phone cradle without it being programmed in yet?

Bluetooth on 2004 E270 with Audio 50 (W211)

Hi everyone, I own a 2004 Mercedes E270 equipped with the Audio 50 APS system and the cradle model A 211 820 14 51 (empty, without the phone). I'm looking to add Bluetooth functionality, primarily for hands-free calls, but also for streaming music if possible. Ideally, I’d like to retain the use of the steering wheel controls and use the built in system (mic & stereo of the car). Has anyone done this successfully or could point me to the best solution? Any specific modules or adapters you recommend? Thanks in advance for your help!

Contact Crutchfield. They may be able to supply you with a head unit that does everything you want. I got my wife a Sony one from them for her '08 Mazda and it has all those features and steering wheel controls work too.

Hi, Thank you for the really quick reply! I appreciate the suggestion, and I'll definitely look into Crutchfield. However, I forgot to mention in my first post that my budget for this feature is around €100. The car has nearly 500,000 km on it, and there are also restrictions on diesel vehicles in my city. While I really want to keep this car running and add Bluetooth, I'm hesitant to invest too much into it. I’ve also come across various (used) adapters, including some Mercedes-branded ones designed to fit into the cradle, but I’ve struggled to find clear information about compatibility. Many of the ones I’ve seen mention models from 2005 onward or are specifically for the EVO. I’ll take my time and go through the rest of this thread to see if I can find anything useful. In the meantime, if you have any additional suggestions, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks again!

Crutchfield won't have anything within your budget. Consider something like this,
Amazon Amazon
It's cheap and looks like it will do most of what you want except for steering wheel controls.

Also, head over to Benzworld and look through the Audio & Telematics forum in the technical forums section. There's a couple of threads there that may answer your questions about compatibility.

You can add Bluetooth to your 2004 Mercedes E270 Audio 50 APS (cradle A 211 820 14 51) while keeping the steering wheel controls, built-in mic, and stereo by using a dedicated OEM-style Bluetooth retrofit module for the BE6025 head unit. Look for modules that connect through the phone cradle interface or MOST bus, as these retain hands-free calling and support A2DP streaming. Make sure your radio is the BE6025 variant. Installation usually involves plugging the module into the interface and enabling it in the car’s system.
