03 ML350 New battery now no sound from radio
I installed a new battery and reset the radio code. System works fine but no sound from Am-Fm. CD changer sound is fine as is weather band sound. Just no sound when in am or fm. Any thoughts?

jfkakacek - did you fix your radio issues? my AM/Weather/CD all work fine. The FM has no sound. I see that you posted this issue over a year ago, so I am hoping that you read this. If not, does anyone else have any idea what to do to fix it?

My issue turned out to be a burned out board in the head unit. It was not sending a fiber optic pulse from the back of the head unit. I had to send it in to ALPINE via a factory repair company on the east coast. It cost 250 to fix. Much cheaper than the 4 grand the stealer quoted me. Go figure. I'll check to see if I have the paper work to get the name.

Hello guys,
A few weeks ago my sound system doesn't work so I thought it was the fuse so then I replace the sound system fuse and it work...for a week then now no sounds at all, doesnt matter what I've tried. Can someone help me on this. I call the dealer and they said they will charge me around $200 for just diagnose only. Much appreciated for your help. its 2003 ML350

Did the fuse blow again? If so it sounds like you have a short somewhere. May sound silly but do you have the radio code?
Please post more specific info on your problem. Does the head unit power up, does the cd changer work etc. Push the cd button to make sure the head unit is recognizing the cd changer. If it doesn't it will say cd player not found.

Radio with No Volume.
Hey, I have a 2004 ML350 Inspiration with Bose radio system, and I am having a problem with my radio. I recently changed the battery and it asked for the code, which I did, and radio worked fine, but a few days later the radio would go on and the stations would switch, but there is no sound coming from the system at all, sound would come back a day later then go back off a few days after that. It did this a few times and now I've had no sound for 5 days. I also think that it is not detecting the CD player. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone have any advice??

Either
power down the radio by removing the fuse or disconnect the battery and wait 5 minutes to hook the negative cable back up. Then resync all systems if required for your model and enter the radio code again. Seems like it is missing its call to wake up.
