Hello I have just purchased this back-up camera kit for my 2003 c230 kompressor coupe , in the manual they advise to connect the power supply to the rear headlight so when the back up light turns on the camera would switch on automaticly , but i know that my car has electronics chips ... so i wanted to know is it safe to adopt this method SAFELY ?

It is ok to connect the reverse sense input to the reverse light since that is just a signal. The power should be connected to a proper feed: the cigarette plug or power port is ok for that...
